Tottenham Hotspur lost another match in the Premier League as they put their swords down against Newcastle United at a scoreline of 1-2. It’s an alarming situation for the former side as they are struggling to do well despite having a decent start earlier on.

With this defeat, Spurs find themselves in the bottom half of the points table. Their next game is against Liverpool in the EFL Cup and we all know what happened when these two sides met the last time. Anyways, let’s shed light on today’s performance.

Brandon Austin (8/10) – First competitive start for the third-choice goalkeeper and he did put on a solid foot forward despite leaking two goals.

Pedro Porro (7/10): The right-back contributed significantly in both aspects of the game but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.

Radu Dragusin (3/10): A really poor performance as he struggled throughout the match and failed to keep things tight at the backline.

Archie Gray (7/10): Should be praised for doing decent enough despite being ill and playing out of position.

Djed Spence (6/10): Was a weak point as the left-back in the first half but improved when he was assigned the centre-back role in the second 45 minutes.

Pape Sarr (7/10): Did provide a lot of work and, pressed the opponents with intensity to create all sorts of troubles in the middle of the park.

Lucas Bergvall (8/10): Looked confident on the ball but lacked a bit of clarity when it came to off-the-ball duties.

Dejan Kulusevski (5/10): He was handed the armband for today’s clash but couldn’t justify it with the performance as he failed to create a clear opportunity.
