Tomas Rosicky says he is on his old club Arsenal’s radar as they look for a new sporting director - but he has not received an offer from them.
Arsenal are looking for a new sporting director after Edu resigned from the role at the start of November.
Jason Ayto, who was previously Edu’s No2, has stepped up since to be Arsenal’s interim sporting director.
A string of contenders have been linked with the role over the past three months - including Ayto - with Andrea Berta, Dan Ashworth, Roberto Olabe and Thiago Scuro all touted as candidates.
Rosicky has also been mentioned as someone who could replace Edu and the midfielder has history with Arsenal.
The 44-year-old, who is currently Sparta Prague’s sporting director, spent 10 years with Arsenal as a player and made nearly 250 appearances for them.
The former midfielder is aware of Arsenal’s interest in him now as they look to replace Edu, but he has not had any offer.
“So the reality is simple,” Rosicky told Flashscore. “My connection with Arsenal is natural because I spent 10 years there, and when you spend 10 years somewhere you form a strong, very strong bond.
“So I have this strong bond with Arsenal and I have a strong bond with Sparta Prague. Those are the two clubs that I love football-wise because I have a warm relationship with them.
“I am honoured by the fact that I am even being considered by Arsenal’s management, but I can say that I don’t have any offer to go to Arsenal.
“As I mentioned before, I’m aware that I’m on their radar or I figure in their considerations in some capacity, but I haven’t received any offer.”
