Tottenham captain Heung-min Son has filed a complaint to South Korean police alleging he was the victim of a blackmail attempt over a false pregnancy claim.
South Korean media have reported a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s are being investigated over allegations they tried to extort money from Son by claiming the woman was pregnant with his child.
Reports in South Korea claim the pair approached Son demanding money in exchange for staying silent.
“The police are currently investigating, so we will let you know the results as soon as they are available,” his agency Son & Football Limited said in a statement.

“We'd like to tell you that Heung-in Son is clearly the victim of this incident.”
Son is a superstar in South Korea, where he is captain of the national team.
The 32-year-old has previously suggested he does not want to have children until he is retired because he wants to devote himself to football.
“My father says this and I agree, as well,” Son told The Guardian in 2019. “When you marry, the No1 will be family, wife and kids, and then football. I want to make sure that while I play at the top level, football can be No1.
“You don’t know how long you can play at the top level. When you retire, or when you are 33 or 34, you can still have a long life with your family.”
Revelations of the blackmail attempt against Son come as Spurs are preparing for the Europa League final.
Spurs face Manchester United in Bilbao next Wednesday, when Son could lift their first trophy since 2008.
