The defender faces a spell on the sidelines
Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven appears to have confirmed he is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury against Manchester City.
Van de Ven was forced off during the first half of Wednesday's 2-1 win over City, which secured Spurs' spot in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, after racing back to tackle Savinho. He left the pitch in floods of tears while holding the back of his leg.
Speaking after the game, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou said of Van de Ven: "Yes, he felt something in his hamstring.
"It's still early to predict how long he will be out but he definitely felt something and we'll see how he is."
Van de Ven on Thursday night posted a short message on Instagram, alongside a photo of his hands on his head, which read: "Back soon."

Spurs will be hoping the damage is not as bad as the hamstring injury Van de Ven picked up in November last season, which ruled him out for over two months.
