Tottenham are in urgent need of reinforcements, and Yoane Wissa’s name has suddenly emerged as a potential solution.
With injuries affecting their attacking options, Spurs are reportedly looking to bolster their frontline before the January transfer window slams shut.
The North London club has been linked with multiple forwards in recent weeks, but as the deadline approaches, they may be shifting their focus to a more attainable target.
The latest reports suggest that a move for Yoane Wissa could shake up the Premier League.
While securing a deal at this stage of the window will be challenging, Tottenham’s need for attacking depth may force their hand.

According to Foot Mercato, Tottenham have initiated discussions with Brentford regarding a potential transfer for Yoane Wissa.
With Dominic Solanke sidelined due to injury and Richarlison’s minutes being carefully managed, Spurs are actively searching for a versatile forward who can provide immediate support.
Earlier in the transfer window, Tottenham were linked with Randal Kolo Muani and Marcus Rashford, both capable of playing wide and through the middle.
However, with time running out, Spurs have now turned their attention to Wissa.
Nottingham Forest had also expressed interest in the 28-year-old striker, but Spurs appear to be taking the lead in negotiations.
Having netted 11 goals in the Premier League this season, Wissa is currently tied for 7th place in the league’s top scorers list.
Bringing him in mid-season will not be easy, as Brentford are likely to demand a substantial fee. However, if Spurs can pull off the signing, it could prove to be a defining moment in their campaign.
Tottenham have traditionally prioritised younger players or marquee signings, as seen with James Maddison and Solanke.
Wissa, at 28, represents a different approach—one that prioritises immediate impact and squad depth over long-term potential.
Ange Postecoglou has openly admitted that his squad needs reinforcements, and Wissa seems like the type of player who could make a difference.
With time running out, Spurs must decide whether Wissa is the right fit or if they are simply making a move out of necessity. Either way, the next few days could be crucial for their season.
For now, Spurs must focus their efforts and energy on their upcoming match against Elfsborg in the final round of the Europa League group stage. Tottenham currently sit sixth in the table with 14 points.
