Tottenham host Manchester City this evening looking to make it four successive league wins.
The Lilywhites looked back to their fluent best against Ipswich as they put four past the Tractor Boys in Suffolk.
Ange Postecoglou announced that he has the exact same pool of players to choose from for tonight’s squad. The game comes too soon for Ben Davies who is still nursing a slight issue.
Despite being available at the weekend, Postecoglou decided to omit Timo Werner from the matchday squad. Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Dominic Solanke and Richarlison are all closing in on a return.
Manchester City were outclassed by league leaders Liverpool on Sunday which saw them fall to a 2-0 defeat. Top goalscorer Erling Haaland will be assessed after being unable to participate in the last two games. Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Oscar Bobb and Rodri all remain out.

Manchester City have had a campaign to forget and they endured another tough evening on Sunday.
The gulf in quality was evident in Manchester as Liverpool collected the three points. It was insult to injury for Pep Guardiola and his players after they crashed out of the Champions League to Real Madrid during midweek.
Their record at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium doesn’t make pretty reading. In eight meetings they have only scored four goals, although all four have come in the last three encounters.
City’s only realistic chance of silverware is the FA Cup. They welcome Plymouth Argyle to the Etihad Stadium at the weekend for a fifth-round tie.
Tottenham were Manchester City’s nemesis once again as they steamrolled the reigning champions at the Etihad Stadium.
City started brightly and Guglielmo Vicario was required to stick a foot in the way of an Erling Haaland effort.
The visitors then stunned the home faithful with a quickfire brace from James Maddison. For the opener, Dejan Kulusevski evaded the attention of Josko Gvardiol before delivering a searching cross into the box. Maddison broke into the area from deep to volley past Ederson and break the deadlock.
A costly mistake from Gvardiol afforded the opportunity for Spurs to strike again. Maddison played an intricate give-and-go with captain Heung-min Son before delicately dinking a finish over the goalkeeper.
Pep Guardiola’s side couldn’t deal with the devastating nature of their opposition, particularly on the break. It only took five minutes of the second period for Tottenham to go three up.
Kulusevski carried the ball forward before Dominic Solanke picked up possession. Spurs’ record signing teed up the onrushing Pedro Porro, who smashed an effort into the corner. The Spanish full-back wheeled off to celebrate in front of an ecstatic away end.
City had several chances to get back into the contest. Erling Haaland came closest with a curling shot that grazed the crossbar.
Substitute Brennan Johnson got in on the act in stoppage time. Timo Werner used his pace to burst past Kyle Walker before drilling a cross into Johnson. The Welshman tapped in to confirm an impressive victory for the Lilywhites.
Ange Postecoglou’s players were full value for their clean sheet after a brave performance. Vicario epitomised the battling attitude – playing the entire second half with a fractured ankle.
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Danso, Gray, Spence; Bergvall, Bentancur, Maddison; Johnson, Tel, Son.
