Training week begins | OneFootball

Kevin Trapp returned to the training pitch as the Eagles started preparations for the match against Werder Bremen.

After two days off following the home win over Stuttgart, the team were back on the training pitches of Deutsche Bank Park on Tuesday morning. Back among his fellow goalkeepers Kaua Santos, Jens Grahl and Amil Siljevic was captain Kevin Trapp.

For the four goalkeepers and 17 outfield players, the session consisted of a warm-up round, strength exercises, short sprints, ball control, pass and move drills – and then: “Come on boys, let’s see some fire and quality on the ball,” called out head coach Dino Toppmöller on the small field, for a game involving two large goals around 16 metres apart and lightning-fast sequences with and without the ball.

A high-energy start to the training week, which will see the squad on the pitch every day until Friday. After the final session, Eintracht will head north to Bremen, where they meet Werder at 18:30 CEST on Saturday 5 April.
