Ahead of AC Milan’s clash against Bayer Leverkusen, Paulo Fonseca has some decisions to make in his lineup, and the Champions League clash could see him make two changes.
Milan have experienced somewhat of a resuscitation after the Liverpool defeat. After the collapse at San Siro, the Rossoneri beat Inter in the Derby della Madonnina and then took three points against Lecce. In other words, fantastic signs of the tide shifting.
However, this must become the norm, rather than a temporary reversal of a previous trend, and the game against Leverkusen offers a fantastic challenge, and it will also be an opportunity to see how Fonseca rotates the squad for the future.
Alvaro Morata’s condition was questioned before the game on Friday, so perhaps, Fonseca could offer him a chance to rest. Aside from that, Tuttosport (via Milan News) suggest that Davide Calabria could start ahead of Emerson Royal on the right-hand side with him back in contention.
Additionally, Strahinja Pavlovic could be given a chance in the backline with the idea of countering Victor Boniface. A decision has not been made about who he could replace if he is to come in, with Fikayo Tomori and Matteo Gabbia forming a good partnership.
