Two Real Madrid stars to return to XI for Atlético clash | OneFootball

An insight into the line-up plans of Real Madrid head coach for the club’s upcoming meeting with Atlético has on Monday evening been provided.

The latest edition of the Madrid Derby is of course set to play out tomorrow night.

Turning attentions back towards matters on the continent, Real Madrid will welcome Diego Simeone’s Atléti to the Santiago Bernabéu, for a Champions League Round-of-16 showdown.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Carlo Ancelotti is planning changes to his XI for the fixture.

As per a report from Diario AS, as much will come chiefly at the back, where both Federico Valverde and Raúl Asencio are expected to step back in.

The former will take his place at right-back, with Asencio to join Antonio Rüdiger at the heart of defence.

The one doubt in Real’s line-up comes at left-back, where the battle for a start remains ongoing between Ferland Mendy and Fran García.
