Ten league goals and six assists in the 2. Bundesliga this season saw him nearly triple his estimated market worth from €1.2m to €3m. Freiburg reportedly also take interest in the 22-year-old.

Elversberg sporting director Nils Ole-Book – as quoted by Kicker – remains emphatic about not allowing Asllani’s current loan arrangement to be terminated early, however.

Hoffenheim also hold all the cards with respect to their prospect and can easily engineer a bidding war between the two interested Bundesliga parties.
