It was a huge day for Union St Gilloise as they wrapped up another Belgian league title in style.

Led by Sébastien Pocognoli, the side finished their 2024/25 campaign on a high with a 3-1 home win over Gent.

The hosts got off to a flying start, with Franjo Ivanovic opening the scoring in the 11th minute. Gent hit back just before half-time through Andri Gudjohnsen, but that was as close as they got.

The second half belonged to Union, with Promise David stealing the spotlight. He found the net twice in quick succession in the 68th and 75th minutes to seal a memorable victory.

The win not only clinched the title but also booked Union St. Gilloise a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League, capping off a brilliant season that saw them record 24 wins, 11 draws and just five defeats.
