Valencia dealt fresh injury blow | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Valencia have on Tuesday announced a fresh injury setback in the club’s first-team ranks.

This comes amid confirmation that Hugo Duro is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Frontman Duro for his part did not feature in Valencia’s matchday squad which ultimately battled to a 3-3 draw at Osasuna this past weekend.

This comes after the 25-year-old picked up a fitness issue in the club’s prior outing, a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Atlético Madrid.

The hope was that as much would quickly resolve, but this has since not proven to be the case.

As confirmed in a statement across Valencia’s website and social media platforms on Tuesday, Duro, in turn, has been condemned to a spell on the treatment table:

‘Valencia CF player Hugo Duro has suffered a muscle fiber injury in the outer calf muscle of his left leg as a result of trauma.

‘Due to this, the forward will remain sidelined until his clinical improvement.

‘Hugo Duro will undergo physiotherapy treatment and a rehabilitation process before gradually rejoining group training.’

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Duro is expected to miss around a month of action.
