Valencia star returns to training before Getafe | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Valencia have on Thursday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Enzo Barrenechea has returned to first-team training alongside the rest of Carlos Corberán’s squad.

Barrenechea, on loan from Aston Villa for the season, was forced to sit out last weekend, as Valencia emerged from a trip to Las Palmas with all three points.

This came owing to a niggling ankle problem.

The Argentine, in turn, had since played no part in training across the week to date, either.

As alluded to above, though, this morning, Barrenecha was back in the thick of things at The Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Valencia returned to training on Thursday with good news. Barrenechea trained with the group for the first time all week.’

The former Juventus talent is therefore expected to be given the medical green light to return to competititive action against Getafe this weekend.
