Valencia striker Cheryshev on Rayo Vallecano draw: Fair result - but not good for us

Denis Cheryshev admits there's frustration at Valencia after their 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano.

The Russian was returning from injury and saw action off the bench.

He later said: "It leaves a bad taste in our mouths, after the good game that we had against Real Sociedad. I think that we were motivated to take the win. We got ahead, but we weren't able to maintain the advantage and in the end they equalised.

"Maybe we took a step back in the second half, but then -as we needed to fight back and score- we took a step forward. They had several dangerous counter attacks.

"I think that the result is a fair one, but insufficient for us, because we want to win."
