Graham Potter is hoping to end a hugely difficult season on a high with a win at Ipswich on Sunday.

West Ham finally get to draw a line under this dire 2024/25 campaign, as we take on already-relegated Ipswich Town in the hope of finishing above both Manchester United and Spurs, despite it being an incredibly underwhelming season for the club.

Potter, who was talking ahead of the final game to the press, says that he’s taking it very seriously and wants his Hammers side to grab all 3 points.

“It’s very important for us,” Potter told the press, as reported by the clubs Official Website. “We want to finish as high as we can, and a win will give us the best chance of doing that. After that, we need to look at how we improve.

“We had disappointment after last week’s game. We made sure we gave the players some time to clear their heads and recover. Then we’ve had a good few days, and the boys are looking forward to the final match. It’s one more push, and we’ll do everything we can.”

Potter also talked about the news that captain Jarrod Bowen did not make Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the upcoming games, which came as a shock to many considering his excellent form of late.

“It’s not my thing to pick the England squad, and I have full respect for Thomas Tuchel,” added Potter. “I’m disappointed for Jarrod, but he accepts the decision, he’s trained well with us and he’ll be looking to win the game on Sunday.”
