West Ham United winger Maxwel Cornet landed on Italian soil today, as he will undergo his Genoa medical on Monday.
The 28-year-old Ivory Coast international was greeted at the airport by fans and media on Sunday evening, landing at the Cristoforo Colombo Airport in Genoa.
According to Sky Sport Italia, this will be a loan move for six months to the end of the season.
Capable of playing on the left or right wing, but also as a centre-forward, he is the second signing of the January transfer window for Genoa after Otoa from Aalborg.

He had been on loan at Southampton, but interrupted that move to make this new experience in Italy.
A product of the FC Metz academy, Cornet stepped up to Olympique Lyonnais and was sold to Burnley FC for €15m in 2021
Just a year later, his value had increased to €20.7m for West Ham, but he made only four competitive appearances so far this season.
