Villarreal star beats out Raphinha as La Liga’s best creator in 2024 | OneFootball

Villarreal star Álex Baena proved himself the standout chance creator in all of La Liga over the course of the calendar year.

That’s according to statisticians StatMuse, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the numbers.

Baena, for his part, of course continued to prove himself one of the standout attacking talents in all of Spanish football in 2024.

All told, the 23-year-old managed to carve out 94 goalscoring chances between the 2nd half of last season, and the opening half of the current term.

This is a full 14 more than the player in 2nd place, Barcelona wide-man Raphinha having racked up 80 chances in La Liga this year.

Another steep drop-off is noted from 2nd to 3rd, too, where Real Madrid veteran Luka Modrić, despite his status as more of a substitute than a starter at this point, managed to create 65 opportunities.

And the Croatian is followed closely by Carlos Vicente, whose tally of 63 in the colours of Deportivo Alavés is worthy of commendation.
