Vinicius Junior tied the club record for the most goals scored by a Brazilian in Real Madrid's 2-1 defeat to Valencia.

After falling behind to a Mouctar Diakhaby header, Vinicius missed a penalty but managed to redeem himself by equalising shortly after the second half kicked off, but Hugo Duro's strike in the fifth minute of stoppage time ultimately handed Madrid a crushing loss.

While the overall feeling was one of disappointment - manager Carlo Ancelotti recognised his side's hopes of winning the La Liga title had taken a huge blow - there was at least a moment of celebration for Vinicius.

The 24-year-old netted his 104th goal for the club, moving him level with the great Ronaldo when it comes to goalscoring Brazilians in the club's history.

He reached the milestone in 307 outings for Madrid, but Vinicius' speed was no match for Ronaldo, who reached his total of 104 in just 177 games.

The pair are the only Brazilians to ever reach a century of goals for Brazil, although Rodrygo is hoping to catch Vinicius and Ronaldo in the next few seasons.
