Having thrown away a 2-0 lead at Laugardalsvöllur in Reykjavik to draw 2-2 against Iceland last month, some Welsh fans will still be wondering how they let a good road victory slip through their fingers.

Iceland earned a 2-0 win away in Montenegro on Saturday night and it will be a big ask for manager Age Hareide to get his side on Tuesday as they prepare for another long trip to the Welsh capital.

Bellamy has been forced to deal with a number of injuries through this Nations League campaign, with the likes of Owen Beck, Wes Burns, Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead injured for these latest internationals.

Oxford United striker Mark Harris suffered a nasty head injury after a collision with team-mate Joe Rodon against Turkey and the forward is unlikely to feature against Iceland.

Rodon managed to finish the game but could be replaced for this one, with Chris Mepham a likely option.

Rodon’s Leeds United teammate Karl Darlow looks set to retain his place between the sticks at the expense of fellow keeper Ward.

As for Iceland, Tomasson won’t have a chance to repeat his goalscoring efforts against the Welsh as he’s picked up too many yellow cards and is suspended.

Captain Aron Gunnarsson is set to miss out on Tuesday’s game due to a thigh injury, as he was an enforced withdrawal in the first half of the victory over Montenegro.

Victor Palsson is the man likely to fill the void for Gunnarsson, who would have been looking forward to a return to the Welsh capital having been a Cardiff City player for eight years before his departure in 2019.
