Walker says Milan must ‘start well’ against Napoli: “There are no other chances” | OneFootball

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Napoli, Kyle Walker spoke to the media in the pre-match interview and shared his thoughts on the task at hand.

Milan need to come away with all three points tonight in order to keep their top-four hopes alive. Fiorentina, Juventus and Roma all won earlier today and the pressure is thus on the Rossoneri to get a good result at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Speaking to DAZN just a few minutes ago, as transcribed by MilanNews, Walker shared his thoughts on the game. The experienced right-back made it clear that Milan will have to play well from the first minute in order to get the win.

A difficult away game…

“We have to come here with the right mentality to win. Milan is a great club, playing in these stadiums and competing against these teams is what you have to do.”

In the last few games, you haven’t been able to start well…

“We have to start well, it’s important to start well when playing away. Against strong teams, there are no other chances if you go behind…”

Walker is starting on the right-hand side of the defence, as expected, but Strahinja Pavlovic is somewhat of a surprise in that department. Malick Thiaw looked certain to start but it’s the Serbian instead, teaming up with Matteo Gabbia.
