There is a very special figure connected with AC Milan who is celebrating his birthday today: former striker Marco van Basten.
Van Basten turns 60 today, and his list of accolades in a red and black shirt is astounding. He made 201 appearances for the club, scoring 124 goals, winning 11 major trophies and the Ballon d’Or three times.

He is rightly regarded as one of the greatest strikers of all-time, but there is also some ‘what if’ about his career. The Dutchman suffered with ankle trouble in his mid to late 20s, forcing him to retire before the age of 30.
Milan have published a video which has every one of the goals that the ‘Swan of Utretcht’ scored for the club.
