Footage stemming from the closing moments of Brazil’s recent showdown with Colombia has turned heads across the respective fanbases of Spanish football’s two biggest clubs.

This comes after Barcelona star Raphinha showcased his growing leadership qualities, to afford a needed helping hand to Real Madrid counterpart Vinícius Jr.

Raphinha and Vinícius both played starring roles on the international front in the early hours of Friday.

The attackers were the two players on target, as Brazil secured an important victory over Colombia in a World Cup qualifying clash.

In the game’s very final moments, though, Raphinha was required to step in, to essentially save his teammate from himself.

After Vinícius’ number flashed across the fourth official’s board, the 24-year-old made abundantly clear that he was in no hurry to depart the field of play.

The problem for Viní, however, was that in the case of being shown a yellow card for deliberate time-wasting, he would have been suspended for Brazil’s upcoming showdown with arch rivals Argentina.

Fully aware of as much, Raphinha therefore made a beeline for his compatriot, to more or less force him from the pitch.
