Taking the lead within 90 seconds and never looking back.

A superb Anthony Gordon strike setting United on their way.

However, this was an all round brilliant team performance.

United could have easily scored twice as many goals, as the Villa goal led a charmed life.

Enjoy though the goals that Newcastle did score, whilst at the same time wonder what the scoreline could have been if taking just a few of the other opportunities.

Watch all the goals AND the celebrations.

Also of course, the red card just past the half hour mark.

I can’t believe that anybody is doubting the decision.

For me it is all about intent, is it all accidental or does Duran do it on purpose?

Well for me, the second motion is 100 percent deliberate. The frustration of the Villa striker had been clear to see during the short time he was on the pitch, spitting his dummy out when not allowed to take a free-kick and I think he clearly tried to rake his studs down the back of the prone Fabian Schar.

Unai Emery has claimed after the match that referee Anthony Taylor was far too hasty and should have looked at TV replays. Yet he (Emery) instantly looked at the TV replays at the side of the pitch and it said everything that when Duran trudged off, the Villa manager totally ignored him. He knew fine well what Duran had done and the post-match stuff was just distraction tactics, trying to move focus from the fact that Villa had been outclassed and overwhelmed by Newcastle United.

See for yourselves.
