Large sections of the fanbase at La Liga outfit Real Betis made use of the opportunity to send a message of appreciation the way of winger Antony on Friday.

This comes after the Brazilian again proved himself the star of the show, on a historic evening for Betis as a club on Thursday.

Manuel Pellegrini’s troops are fresh off booking their spot in a first-ever European final, owing to a 4-3 aggregate victory over Fiorentina in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League.

And Antony played nothing short of a starring role in as much.

After first finding the net in the tie’s opener, the former Ajax man added a further goal and assist in Florence last night, playing a direct hand in three of his side’s four goal across the two legs.

And safe to say, such efforts have not gone at all unappreciated on the part of the Real Betis faithful.

Manuel Pellegrini’s squad arrived back in Seville on Friday morning. And they were met by a sizable group of supporters, who were quick to make their feelings for Antony clear.

As the on-loan Manchester United man was serenaded with cries of ‘Antony stay!’, his teammates joined in the festivities, footage of which can be seen below:
