Watford FC Women beat leaders Ipswich Town, Loughborough Lightning are all but promoted, Swindon Town first to take points off AFC Bournemouth.

Southern Premier Division

Watford 1-0 Ipswich Town (Att: 360)

Watford beat leaders Ipswich Town with a second-half goal by Maddie Perry. The result put the Hornets within two points of Exeter City in third, leaving Ipswich needing four points from two games to take the title ahead of Hashtag United.

Division 1 Midlands

Notts County 0-4 Loughborough Lightning Peterborough United 1-0 Leafield Athletic (Att: 358)

Loughborough Lightning are on the verge of becoming champions after a 4-0 win at Notts County, where Zynia Delglyn, Lauren Purchase, Jessica Collyer and Ella-Mai Coutts found the net. Northampton Town are the only team who can mathematically catch them but face a 19-strong shortfall in goal-difference.

Peterborough United leapfrogged Northampton into second place, as Keir Perkins took advantage of a poor clearance to score in only the second minute against fourth-placed Leafield.

Division 1 South East

AFC Sudbury 0-3 Chatham Town (Att: 63) Ashford Town 7-0 London Seaward

Amelia Woodgate fired Chatham one up on half-time at AFC Sudbury, Millie Rayner and Lucy Jones added one apiece as their side moved within two points of second-placed Norwich City.

Ashford Town won the battle of the relegates sides, sinking London Seaward 7-0. Summer Gayle hit a hat-trick, Abigail Kargbo and Liz O’Callaghan with one each and Lavana Neufville bagging a late brace.

Division 1 South West

Swindon Town 1-1 AFC Bournemouth (Att: 457)

Bournemouth dropped points for the first time this season in their penultimate league match, held 1-1 at Swindon Town. Jenna Markham opened the scoring for the Cherries but Libby Waylen levelled on 65 minutes from outside the box.
