… the situation: “Yesterday's match is already history. My focus is now fully on Bochum. They're completely different opponents - a team who are on a high from the Bayern game, a match that will be very physical. We have all the tools to come out on top at Bochum. We'll certainly rotate in places to get more freshness on the pitch. We all feel ready.”

… VfL Bochum: “They’re certainly on a high after the win against Bayern – just as we are after going through against Ajax. All it’s about on Sunday is being the better team and what the scoreboard shows after 90 minutes. It’ll be a good test, we all know that VfL have already beaten one or two top teams at home, including Borussia Dortmund recently.”

… team selection: “We will make changes in places but it won’t be massive rotation. It’s about freshness, especially against VfL, where we know it’s going to be intense and the opponents will look to use a full week’s training to their advantage. A front two, like we had at Gladbach with Michy Batshuayi and Hugo Ekitiké, is definitely a possibility. That said, I want to analyse more deeply before making the final decision on whether we go with one or two up front, three or four at the back – depending on what’s most suitable for facing these opponents.”
