FC Barcelona have secured a massive victory against Real Madrid in La Liga recently. The final El Clasico of the season, it was yet another crucial game that went in favor of the Catalan giants. With this significant win, Barcelona now sit seven points at the top of the La Liga table.
However, this thrilling 4-3 victory was far from a straightforward one. From start to finish, it was a rollercoaster of emotions for both sets of fans, and there was very little separating the two sides as they battled it out for all three points.
Ultimately, Hansi Flick’s side managed to win this game despite being 2-0 down initially. However, throughout this season, this Barcelona team has showcased that they possess the mentality and quality to recover from any position.
Even Pedri, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, spoke about the game after the final whistle. He was quite transparent about Barça’s initial involvement in the game but stood proud of his team’s ability to fight back:
“We came out completely lost, but once again we showed we can turn things around.”
Speaking about his assist, the Barcelona midfielder spoke in detail about what happened and even praised Raphinha for his finishing ability:
“In that moment, I saw Kylian trying to switch the play. I intercepted it and passed it to Rapha, who finished it the way he always does—like one of the best in the world.”

As for the controversial refereeing in the game, the Barcelona midfield maestro did not forget about that either. However, he spoke about how the team remained calm despite that and managed to prevail:
“There were some decisions we just couldn’t understand, like the penalty call. I was talking to Lamine at the end and told him we needed to stay calm.”
The La Liga title is still not decided, however, and Barcelona need to secure at least one more win to confirm it. However, as Pedri mentions, even Real Madrid could slip up and guarantee the La Liga title for Barcelona before that:
“We’ll see what Madrid does on Wednesday. Hopefully, we can win LaLiga on Thursday.”
Undeniably one of the team’s most important players this season, Pedri has enabled his team to bounce back after the loss to Inter Milan. Now, with just three games left in the league, he will be looking to help Barcelona secure a domestic treble.
