West Ham won their first game since Declan Rice’s exit as they beat Perth Glory 6-2 in western Australia.
Scorers: Luizao 45 (OG), Bennie 72”; Chester (OG) 2′, Scamacca 23′, Bowen 56′ 86′, Emerson 70′, Mubamba 82′
The Hammers took an early lead as Dan Chester put the ball into his own net before Gianluca Scamacca added a second midway through the half.
West Ham’s advantage was halved however just before the break as Luizao put the ball into his own net.
After the break Bowen got himself on the scoresheet with a nice finished before Emerson added a fourth with 20 minutes to go.
Daniel Bennie headed in a consolation for Perth soon after before Divin Mubamba got the east London side’s fifth of the afternoon.
The goals kept coming though as with four minutes to go Bowen got his second of the game after a cutback from Aaron Cresswell.
