West Ham United are reportedly among three clubs interested in signing struggling Manchester United winger Antony in January.
The Red Devils infamously splashed £86 million to secure the Brazilian’s services under the orders of Erik ten Hag. However, the duo failed to recapture the spark that marked their time together in Amsterdam, with the 24-year-old failing the justify the enormous amount the club spent to acquire his signature.
With the Dutch manager out of the door in October, his replacement Ruben Amorim was quick to drop Antony from the starting lineup, instead giving the nod to Amad Diallo who has been repaying the manager’s trust with fine showings down the right flank, scoring decisive goals in the big fixtures against Man City and Liverpool.
On the contrary, Antony has been reduced to an afterthought at Old Trafford. As Dutch legend Frank de Boer puts it, the winger has been invisible on the pitch.
“I feel like I haven’t seen him get past an opponent in over a year and a half. It’s hard to recall anything memorable from him at all.” said the former Ajax and Inter Milan manager via FootBoom.
“Antony has been largely invisible on the pitch. He was weak in the duels and isn’t showing any of his strengths.”

So according to Fichajes.net, Man Utd would be happy to loan out the former Ajax star, with three clubs emerging as potential suitors. The first is West Ham who are keen to sign new wingers to accommodate the tactical plans of their new manager Graham Potter.
However, the Hammers are facing competition from abroad, as the ambitious Real Betis would offer Antony the chance to ply his trade in LaLiga under the tutelage of former Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Finally, Roberto De Zerbi’s insatiable thirst for attacking talent could drive Marseille to pursue the Brazil international, where he would reunite with Mason Greenwood, another former Man Utd star who was shown the door, albeit for different reasons.
