West Ham United are set to complete the double signing of Niclas Fullkrug and Guido Rodriguez, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Hammers were initially reluctant to match Borussia Dortmund’s demands for Fullkrug but ultimately agreed to pay £25.5 million to sign him.

West Ham will pay an initial £21.1m plus a further £3.4m in performance-related add-ons.

Fullkrug is expected to sign a three-year deal with the option of an additional 12 months and will pocket around £2.5m per year in wages.

The 31-year-old will undergo medical examinations in the coming days.

Julen Lopetegui reportedly pushed for the club to sign Fullkrug and technical director Tim Steidten led negotiations for the experienced striker.

He notched 16 goals and 10 assists in 46 games across all competitions for Dortmund last season. He also scored twice for Germany at the 2024 European Championship.

Barring any late twists, Fullkrug will be joined by Guido Rodriguez at the London Stadium. The Argentine midfielder is also on the cusp of signing for the Hammers.

The 30-year-old is a free agent after cutting ties with Real Betis earlier this summer and is set for a new chapter in the Premier League.

Rodriguez featured 29 times across all competitions for Betis last season, contributing two goals and an assist. He was also part of the Argentina squad that won the 2024 Copa America.
