Graham Potter takes charge of West Ham for the first time in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.
Potter’s debut ended in defeat as West Ham exited the FA Cup at Aston Villa on Friday, though there were signs of encouragement for the East Londoners. First up in the Premier League is a London Derby with Fulham.
The Cottagers are chasing a place in Europe and have proven to be a tough nut to crack. Marco Silva’s side are eight unbeaten in the Premier League, though six of those games have ended in draws.
It’s bad news on the injury front for West Ham, who head into their fixture with Fulham light in the final third. Niclas Fullkrug joined the growing absentee list after sustaining a hamstring injury on Friday night. It continues a difficult debut season for the German, who only recently returned from a long layoff with an Achilles injury.
On the 31-year-old’s injury, Potter said: “Fair to say it is a significant one. When a player pulls up like that, you know that something fairly serious has happened
Fullkrug joins Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen on the sidelines, with Danny Ings now the club’s only available forward.
Emerson, Jean-Clair Todibo and Crysencio Summerville are also ruled out for the Irons.
West Ham predicted XI: Areola; Coufal, Mavropanos, Kilman, Wan-Bissaka; Alvarez, Soler; Kudus, Soucek, Paqueta; Ings.
West Ham host Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday 14th January 2025. Kick-off at the London Stadium is 19:30 GMT.
The fixture will be broadcast on TNT Sports in the UK.
