The Tottenham Legends starting line-up for this weekend’s clash against AC Milan Glorie is beginning to take shape with Steffen Freund the latest name confirmed for action.

Freund will be aiming to roll back the years when he takes to the pitch in a friendly match in aid of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

Described as a cult hero amongst Spurs fans, the German midfielder arrived in north London from Borussia Dortmund in December, 1998 and was part of the team that beat Leicester City in the League Cup final at Wembley less than three months later.

The charity match was announced in January. Ledley King, Aaron Lennon, Teddy Sheringham, Michael Dawson, Sandro and Heurelho Gomes were among the first names confirmed for the Spurs Legends squad.

More have been announced in due course with Dimitar Berbatov next to be confirmed followed by Jermain Defoe, Michel Vorm, David Ginola, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Younes Kaboul, Allan Nielsen and Robbie Keane.

Pat Jennings, Ossie Ardiles and Clive Allen will be in charge of the Spurs Legends squad.

AC Milan Glorie squad

Now, what the AC Milan Glorie squad lack in quantity, at the moment, is certainly made up for in quality as it includes World Cup winners such as Dida, Roque Junior, Cafu and Andrea Pirlo as well as Champions League winners such as Serginho, Marek Jankulovski and Massimo Ambrosini.
