Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are gearing up for a pivotal UEFA Champions League semifinal, with just 180 minutes separating them from a spot in the final. The two teams met in the group stage, but PSG has made notable improvements since then.
Arsenal secured their place in the semifinal with a commanding 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the second leg, wrapping up a 5-1 aggregate victory.
PSG also advanced with a 5-1 aggregate advantage, but their journey was much more tense, as they narrowly overcame their opponents with a 5-4 aggregate win.
Both teams come into this matchup with some setbacks. PSG drew 1-1 with FC Nantes and suffered an unexpected loss to OGC Nice, ending their unbeaten run in Ligue 1. Arsenal, meanwhile, were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace.

Arsenal will be the third Premier League club PSG face in the knockout stage of the Champions League. Speaking to the club’s official website, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia stated that facing those two sides will help them against the Gunners.
“On the one hand, it’s great, but on the other, maybe not so much, because they study our matches, even if the reverse is also true,” Kvaratskhelia said.
“We follow their matches closely. It’s really positive to have a better understanding of English football now, especially after playing teams like Liverpool and Aston Villa. It wasn’t easy to face them on the pitch, but we gave it our all. I think it will have a positive impact and help us against Arsenal.”
