Sunday sees the penultimate round of Women's Super League fixtures take place.
Here is how the results broke down across the day.
Scorers: Martinez 18', Ueki 34'; Salmon 5', Daly 37', Grant 54'
Aston Villa have pulled within touching distance of a possible top-half finish thanks to a high-scoring 3-2 win against West Ham at Chigwell Construction Stadium.
Ebony Salmon got the goal fest started in just the 5th minute before the Hammers roared back with strikes from Shekiera Martinez and Riko Ueki to climb into the lead in the 34th minute.
But Villa had other ideas on the day and would pull back level three minutes later thanks to a goal from Rachel Daly before once again pulling in front less than ten minutes after the break courtesy of Chasity Grant.
The Dutch international's effort would stand as the match-winner, with Everton, West Ham, and Liverpool all coming into view before the next league outing.
Scorers: Macário 35' (pen)
Women's Super League powerhouse Chelsea continue to push for an undefeated season in the English top flight after a 1-0 London Derby win over Tottenham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Though the Blues were hardly at their very best on the day against a Spurs outfit languishing down in 10th, a lone strike from the penalty spot in the 35th-minute from US Women's international forward Catarina Macário would prove the difference on the day.
Despite the narrow margin, Spurs were kept relatively quiet throughout by Sonia Bompastor's outfit, who improved their record to 18-3-0 as they remain out of sight at the top of the WSL table.
Scorers: Blanchard 69' (pen), Larkin 90+8; Cain 45+2', O'Brien 90+4'
A battle of bottom-third teams finished with a dramatic ending as Leicester City and Crystal Palace shared the points in a 2-2 draw at VBS Community Stadium.
Leicester's Hannah Cain did well to open the scoring just before the break in the second minute of added time.
But Palace had gotten the better of the Foxes during the run of play throughout, and an equaliser from the penalty spot thanks to former England U19 forward Annabel Blanchard was no less than they deserved.
Shannon O'Brien would go on to bag what many thought was a match-winner in the fourth minute of added time, but young Irish international Abbie Larkin would pop up four minutes later to once again level the scoreline, this time for good.
With this result, Leicester remains in 11th and still in with a chance to improve their position before the end of the season.
Scorers: Clinton 45', Malard 68'; Aleixandri 37'', Knaak 42'
Sent off: Mannion
Manchester United confirmed their top three finish after a 2-2 draw with Manchester City.
Laia Aleixandri broke the deadlock late in the first half at Old Trafford by firing a curling effort into the bottom righthand corner of Phallon Tullis-Joyce's net.
Rebecca Knaak doubled the lead for Nick Cushing's side a short time later by powering home Hemp's left-sided corner for her second goal of the season.
But the reduced their deficit within a matter of minutes through Grace Clinton's header from a clever cross by Aoife Mannion in the build-up.
The Red Devils completed the comeback after the interval courtesy of Melvine Malard sweeping home after latching onto Elisabeth Terland's knockdown header.
Marc Skinner's side were reduced to ten players just moments after levelling as Mannion was sent off for picking up her second booking of the afternoon.
Scorers: Snoeijs 7', Holmgaard 69'
Sent off: Holmgaard
Everton claimed a Merseyside derby double after a 2-0 win over Liverpool.
Katja Snoeijs opened the scoring at Anfield for Brian Sørensen's side with just seven minutes on the clock from a sweeping finish after she was teed up by Kelly Gago.
The Blues went on to extend their lead in the second half when Karen Holmgaard stabbed Toni Payne's cross into the middle of the box past Rachael Laws.
But the scorer was sent off just minutes later after picking up a second booking for a rash challenge on the Reds' forward Olivia Smith.
