Youth League: Inter will take on Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 | OneFootball

The Inter Primavera are looking to continue their perfect run in the UEFA Youth League 2024/25. Coach Zanchetta’s side finished the league phase with six wins from six games and have qualified for the Round of 16 after their 3-1 win over Lille thanks to Spinaccè‘s brace and Mosconi’s goal. Inter will take on Bayern Munich away from home in the Round of 16 on either 4/5 March, following the draw in Nyon.

The draw also revealed the rest of the draws for the tournament. Should Inter advance to the quarter-final, they would face the winner of Trabzonspor vs Atalanta, while in the semi-final they could face the winner of RB Salzburg v Atletico Madrid vs Sturm Graz vs Olympiacos.

The 16 qualified teams will all be in the draw for the rest of the competition which will conclude, as always, with four teams in the semis and final. The games will be played in Nyon (Switzerland) on April 25 and 28.

In line with the rules, club's from the same federation cannot be drawn against one another. The first-drawn teams will play the first match at home. For the draw, a pot is prepared containing balls with the names of the 26 teams, which are shuffled. Two balls are drawn sequentially from the pot, to determine the first matchup. The first team draw will play the single-leg match at home. This is then repeated until all of the balls are drawn.

QUARTER-FINAL DRAW: RULES

For the draw, a pot is prepared which contains balls with slips labelled from "Winner of Round of 16 - 1" to "Winner of Round of 16 - 8". The balls are then shuffled. Two balls are drawn to determine the first quarter-final matchup, with the first team drawn playing the single-leg match at home. This process is repeated with the remaining balls in the pot until all pairings are completed.

SEMI-FINAL DRAW: RULES

For the draw, a pot with balls with slips labelled "Winner of quarter-final 1" to "Winner of quarter-final 4", is prepared. The balls are shuffled. Two balls will be draw to determine the first semi-final. The first team drawn out of the hat will play the single-leg match at home. The process is repeated to then determine the other semi-final.

Then, the semi-final's are formed by a completely open draw, there will be no need for a draw for the final. The winner of semi-final 1 will be the home side for the final.
