0/8 duels won, 12 touches: Amorim must now drop 1/10 United star who was ‘bullied’ by Everton – opinion

Manchester United played out a 2-2 draw against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Red Devils had a disappointing opening half at Goodison Park and were 2-0 down after goals from Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Both goals came from the inability to clear the lines. United improved after the break and got their due reward during the closing stages.
A sublime Bruno Fernandes free-kick reduced the deficit in the 72nd minute before Manuel Ugarte equalised with a fine left-footed strike.
United were unable to find a late winner, and they were fortunate to avoid conceding a penalty.
Looking at the negatives, Joshua Zirkzee had a tough outing with his failure to win duels. He was guilty of losing possession on 18 occasions.
However, the Dutchman was at least involved in the final third with his link-up play unlike Rasmus Hojlund, who barely made an impact.
The Dane had just 12 touches and seven passes in 70 minutes. The 22-year-old failed to win any of his eight ground and aerial duels contested.
The former Atalanta ace received a 1/10 rating from journalist Samuel Luckhurst, who said he was ‘bullied’ by James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite.
It was no surprise that 17-year-old Chido Obi replaced him. Hojlund had another poor game with his inability to get his first touch right.
In our view, manager Ruben Amorim must drop him to the bench when the Red Devils host Ipswich Town in the league in midweek.
Hojlund has lacked form and confidence over recent weeks. Zirkzee should lead the attack with Alejandro Garnacho featuring as the left-sided number 10.
United remain 15th in the standings after yesterday’s stalemate but are only goal difference ahead of West Ham United after their shock win at Arsenal.
