The next eight matches will be “a dream or a nightmare” for Inter Milan as they define their season in three different competitions.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note the possibility of a European Treble for the Nerazzurri.

Inter Milan will actually be hoping that they play a total of twelve more matches before the start of the Club World Cup.

The last one could be the Champions League final at the end of May.

But at the very least, Inter will certainly be playing eight more.

There are six more to come in Serie A.

And considering Inter’s slender advantage over Napoli in the table, these are all virtually must-win.

The Nerazzurri could successfully depend their title. Or they could face the bitter blow of finishing second.

But as has been the case all season, Inter Milan will have to navigate fixtures in other competitions amid their league commitments.

Tomorrow, Inter face Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri have a slight advantage over the Bavarians. They won the first leg of their quarterfinal tie last week.

But Inter will know full well that they will need if anything an even better performance to get over the line in the second leg.

Then, it will likely be Barcelona who await Inter in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Inter take on AC Milan in a Coppa Italia semifinal second leg in a little over a week.

And there is truly all to play for in that match. They drew the first leg of the tie 1-1.

Between all of these matches one thing is clear – Inter have every chance of winning silverware.

But with the narrow margins in Serie A – and the nature of knockout football – there is also the “nightmarish” possibility of ending the season empty-handed after the next eight matches.
