All square at De Vliert as FC Den Bosch and Telstar play out 0-0 draw in Eredivisie promotion play-off | OneFootball

FC Den Bosch and Telstar played out a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their Eredivisie promotion semi-final clash at De Vliert. Neither side was able to lay a glove on the other, meaning that the first goal in the reverse fixture will be crucial in determining the flow of the game. Telstar shaded it in terms of posession, with 56% of the ball but they were unable to convert this into clear chances and a crucial first leg goal. Both sides managed 11 shots, with only two on target for the hosts Den Bosch and three for Telstar.

Telstar should certainly be confident of getting the result they require back at home. The side have not lost to Den Bosch since April 2022, a run of seven games without defeat including tonight’s clash. During the season they drew 0-0 at home and 1-0 away from home.

Whoever wins the clash will face either Dordrecht or an out of form Willem II. Should either side be promoted to the Eredivisie it will be quite a shock, considering that last season Den Bosch finished 19th and Telstar finished 17th. The second leg will take place on Friday evening.
