Arsenal’s move for Norwegian youngster Sverre Nypan is advancing, according to the Independent.

They say the Gunners are leading the race for the 18-year-old, who is also interesting Man City as well as Aston Villa.

And the Independent say Nypan’s club Rosenborg are ready to do a deal for the midfielder.

Elsewhere, Sky Sports say Tottenham are prioritising the signing of a striker over a centre-back this month.

They say Spurs are one of the clubs having a look at signing Brighton striker Evan Ferguson on loan, with West Ham and Bournemouth also keen on the 20-year-old.

The Telegraph also say Spurs are keen to sign duo Tyler Dibling and Angel Gomes and would like to set up summer moves for the midfielders.

Fabrizio Romano says Bayer Leverkusen are set to secure the signing of Emi Buendia on loan from Aston Villa, which also includes an option to buy him.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports claim Manchester United could look to re-sign Benfica full-back Alvaro Fernandez if they fail to agree a deal for Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu.

Fernandez, a former United player, left in the summer but the club reportedly have a have a buy-back clause of £15m for the left-back.

Neymar looks set for a return to the club where he started his career, Santos, with a deal between his Saudi team Al Hilal and the Brazilian side close to being finalised.

Aston Villa are believed to have made an offer to Villarreal for former Spurs defender Juan Foyth.

They are also one of several clubs monitoring Chelsea’s João Félix ahead of the final days of the window, while Romano claims that Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has agreed on personal terms with the Villains.

Real Valladoid youngster Juma Bah is joining RC Lens, with Manchester City reportedly having an agreement to make him a City Group player in the future.

And Sky Sports say Napoli have resurrected talks with Manchester United over a deal for Alejandro Garnacho.
