Arsenal are keen on signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic next year, according to Italian publication Sport Mediaset.

The Gunners made an approach for the Serbia international when he was at Fiorentina in January 2022, but he chose to join the Bianconeri instead.

Vlahovic has struggled for consistency in the last two and a half seasons, but he has started brilliantly this term, scoring seven goals in 10 games.

Arsenal reportedly ‘seem to be serious’ about signing the marksman, and they are closely monitoring his contract situation in Turin.

The 24-year-old’s current deal expires in 2026, and the Bianconeri are yet to convince him to sign a new contract.

Juventus could demand at least £67 million to consider his sale.

Vlahovic speculation could be agent-driven

The Gunners were determined to land Vlahovic two years ago, but he preferred to continue in Serie A with Juventus, who were Champions League regulars.

The Bianconeri have since struggled in Serie A and Europe. Vlahovic scored only 41 goals in 101 appearances for the Turin giants up to the end of last season.

He has had a good start this time around, but the Gunners are unlikely to return for him as he would not fit into manager Mikel Arteta’s style of play.

Vlahovic is far from comfortable with the ball at his feet. He has averaged only seven passes and won just 38% of his duels per game this season.

Arsenal need someone who can link up play and win regular duels in addition to scoring goals.

Kai Havertz has done the job impressively this term. The club ideally want Alexander Isak or Benjamin Sesko to provide competition for places.
