Jamie Brown, in his exclusive report for TBR Football, has stated that Arsenal are very interested in signing Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming summer transfer window. They like the player very much, and the Bundesliga giants want £70 million for him if they decide to offload him in the summer.
The Gunners are in need of more attackers given that they are over-dependent on Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. Moreover, injury concerns have also disrupted the team’s combination. The 20-year-old Dortmund star is a special player and has been sensational while performing for the German club. He has been one of the important players on the team and can go on to serve Arsenal for a long time if they manage to sign him.
He boasts an impressive combination of pace, flair, and goal-scoring instinct. His playing style is marked by explosive dribbling, allowing him to beat defenders with ease, and a keen eye for goal. Gittens thrives on the left wing, cutting inside to create chances or finish with precision. For Arsenal, his versatility and attacking flair could bolster their forward line, adding depth and unpredictability. His youth and potential align with Mikel Arteta’s vision, offering a long-term solution to their attacking needs.

Gittens has scored 7 goals in 23 matches so far in the Bundesliga 2024/2025 season so far. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.41. Moreover, Gittens’s total G/A (goals + assists) is 10 for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.59 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.42.
Looking into his passing aspect of the game, Gittens passes the ball roughly 24.19 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 83.29%. He also plays 1.07 key passes each game. Overall, Bynoe Gittens’s xA (expected assists) output is 0.19 per 90 minutes. This stat puts him above 68 percent of the players in the Bundesliga.
Therefore, he will definitely be a good signing for the Gunners. Arsenal do have the money to spend £70 million for the 20-year-old. Given his age and quality, it will be a risky but very good investment on a profile who can play for a long time at the Emirates stadium.
