Wilfried Singo (24) is set for a period on the sidelines after picking up an injury against Aston Villa in midweek.
The Ivory Coast international netted the winner against Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, however, the night ended on a sour note as he was treated with a hamstring injury post-match. He then had to undergo an MRI. Those tests have revealed the extent of his injury. He will miss Saturday’s match against Stade Rennais but also more games in the coming weeks.
“Singo is out. During the game, he complained about his (right) hamstring,” began Monaco manager Adi Hütter in a press conference, attended by Get French Football News. “We needed to do an MRI. We are not sure, but he is out for around three to five weeks. Maybe he could be back faster so it is hard to be exact with the injury,” he added.
