Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi were sent off tonight, so they’ll not be on the touchline for Napoli and Inter’s title deciders next week.
Inter and Napoli will play a final, decisive game for the Scudetto next week, but neither Conte nor Inzaghi will lead their teams from the bench.
Both coaches were sent off during Serie A Round 37 on Sunday. Conte was given his marching orders in Napoli’s 0-0 draw at Parma, and the same happened to Inzaghi in a 2-2 home stalemate against Lazio.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Conte argued with some Parma players sitting on the bench during the game at the Tardini, and both he and his counterpart, Christian Chivu, received red cards.
“It irritates me, because you work all year to have a decisive match,” Conte said after the game.

“I trust the staff and these lads, I above all trust the crowd at the Stadio Maradona. I was annoyed by Parma’s obstruction today, as I was used to English football, where there aren’t all these stops for cramp, injuries, pretending to be injured, so it irritated me and that’s why I was sent off.”
Something similar happened at San Siro when Inzaghi hit back at Marco Baroni, who appealed for a VAR check after a Yann Bisseck handball at minute 88.
The referee not only showed Inzaghi a red card but also awarded Lazio a spot kick, which Pedro converted.
Napoli will host Cagliari at the Stadio Maradona in the final round, while Inter play away at Como.
Serie A will release the dates and times for the final Serie A round in the coming hours.
