Barcelona close to earning a significant amount with 25-year-old winger’s potential move to AC Milan – Report
Following their return to the 1:1 status, FC Barcelona are now increasingly being linked with several incoming and outgoing operations.
The Catalans are reportedly looking for suitors for several less important players like Ansu Fati, Eric Garcia, and Andreas Christensen, as their sales would now allow them to incorporate more players in their squad in the winter transfer window.
However, there are several operations currently underway in the market that can result in a significant cash injection in the Blaugrana club’s coffers through the sales of some of their former players on whom they have sell-on rights.
One of these players who is quite likely to change clubs in January is the winger, Francisco Trincão. According to SPORT, the 25-year-old Portuguese winger’s agents are already working on a potential move to AC Milan and the operation is on the right track.

This operation can end up costing the Italian side €25 million, and half of this amount, €12.5 million, will end up in Blaugrana coffers as they have a 50% sell-on right on him.
The Lombards are in a position to pay this sum to Sporting CP and will be willing to do so as Trincão is one of their preferred options to strengthen the wings since the arrival of Sérgio Conceição on their bench.
They have also been linked with other players like Dani Olmo, whom they tried to incorporate into their team for the next six months keeping in view his registration issue at Barcelona, and Marcus Rashford, who is also reportedly looking to leave Manchester United.
However, their new coach, Conceição, is convinced that Trincão is the best man for this job, and the player himself has proven his credentials with his 7 goals and 11 assists this season with Sporting CP.
With his contract ending in 2026, the Portuguese club is looking to get him renewed. However, if an agreement is not reached soon, they would be open to selling him to avoid losing him for free.
If this operation ends up materializing, Barcelona would earn a total of €23 million for Trincao. €12.5 million will come from this operation, €7.5 million came when he was sold to Sporting, and €3 million was obtained when the Blaugranes sent him on loan to the Portuguese club a season prior to his permanent sale.
