Something of a bombshell claim regarding developments behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Wednesday come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario AS, and points towards a vote of no confidence in Barca president Joan Laporta, and potentially more, as being taken into real consideration.

This, of course, comes amid the backdrop of what have been a turbulent last few days in Catalunya’s capital.

With the deadline for the registration of both Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor with La Liga for the 2nd half of the campaign having last night come and passed, the two summer signings are technically no longer eligible to line out for Hansi Flick’s side.

As much has gone down understandably poorly amongst all of a Blaugrana persuasion, who have begun seeking out a direction in which to point the finger of blame.

And, if the latest word to have surfaced in the media on Wednesday is anything to go by, then this group have today identified their man – Joan Laporta.

As per a report from AS:

‘In certain circles there is already talk of a motion of censure and former presidential candidates such as Víctor Font are preparing press conferences to make known their point of view in the face of a failure, which if confirmed, will mark a before and after in the management of a Laporta who will need a lot of magic to get back on track.
