The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have begun actively pushing an out-of-favour member of the club’s attacking ranks towards an exit.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.

The name of winger Ansu has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.

This comes after the Barcelona coaching staff made clear once more their lack of faith when it comes to the 22-year-old’s readiness to contribute moving forward.

After first being left out of the Blaugrana’s starting XI for a Copa del Rey meeting with minnows Barbastro, Ansu was then not even called up for either of the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals, or final.

And as much, it would appear, comes with a view to an impending departure for the attacker over the weeks ahead.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘The club is pushing Ansu to leave for two reasons: so that he can find the minutes and the training that he will not enjoy at Barça… and to make room for Marcus Rashford.’

The problem for Deco and co, however, is that Ansu himself, for the time being at least, has not been convinced of the merits of a transfer.
