Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has revealed his take that, at present, he and his teammates have a legitimate claim to being the best team in world football.

Barca are of course fresh off something of a statement victory on the continent on Wednesday.

After welcoming Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich to Catalunya’s capital, Hansi Flick’s troops ran riot, on their way to an eventual 4-1 triumph.

As much added to what has been a hugely impressive start to the campaign for Barcelona, to the tune of 11 wins from 13 across all competitions.

Next up for the Blaugrana, this weekend, meanwhile, comes a highly-anticipated La Liga showdown with arch rivals Real Madrid.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s dominant showing against Bayern, the subject of the impending Clásico was, in turn, put to the aforementioned Lamine Yamal.

And the 17-year-old appeared full of confidence in his response, explaining:

“We believe we are the best team in the world, we are proving it. We will go [against Real Madrid] with all our strength, and may the best team win”.
