La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that midfielder Dani Olmo has been given the green light to link back up with the rest of the club’s squad in first-team training.
Spanish international Olmo, for his part, was of course condemned to a fresh spell on the sidelines late last month.
As much came after his appearance off the bench in Barcelona’s 1-1 stalemate with Getafe was followed by an announcement that the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital had suffered a ‘right soleus strain’.
Olmo, in turn, was ruled out against all of Benfica, Valencia, Atalanta and Deportivo Alavés.
Amid a hectic ongoing run of fixtures, all associated with the Blaugrana will therefore no doubt be delighted to hear of the 26-year-old closing on an imminent return to competitive action.
As per a report from Diario Sport, Olmo was back out on the grass at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Tuesday, completing part of the group session with Hansi Flick’s squad.
The midfielder could well take his place in Barca’s Copa del Rey squad to face Valencia on Thursday as a result.
