Ashley Hay opened the scoring, pouncing on miscommunication at the back to return back to the scoresheet in the league.

Two minutes later the lead was doubled as Iwan Morgan lobbed the keeper from just outside the box with a fantastic goal.

Kyreece Lisbie’s pace was causing problems and fresh off his goal against Ipswich Town last week, the winger went close to scoring with the keeper scurrying back to his goal to retrieve the lobbed attempt.

Despite the fast start, QPR should have got a goal back as Ridwan Hassan was played through on goal but the striker failed to connect. Huge let-off for the boys.

Brentford resumed control of the game and Holland put in a fantastic delivery but Morgan could not control his header to find the net.

After the fast opening 20 minutes, the game settled into a calmer rhythm as the away side had a couple of shots on goal which gave Julian Eyestine something to think about. The young Bees’ shot-stopper was calm and assured though saving comfortably from the QPR attempts on goal.

The third arrived with just over 30 minutes played, a good team move saw Holland deliver an inch perfect cross to Hay who stroked into the net.

The away side had the first chance of the second half as Jake Leahy rose highest to direct a header towards goal and with Eyestone rooted, the winger almost scored his side’s second but his effort came back off the crossbar.

The second half was a much slower affair but with fifteen minutes to go in the game Hay grabbed his hat-trick to put the icing on a fantastic win and a great individual performance.

Today’s win means it is three wins on the bounce for the Bees in the league as they continue to march on.

The Under-21s will be in action next on Monday 4 November as they host Millwall at Wheatsheaf Park which will be another London derby.
