Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is attracting interest from Bayer Leverkusen ahead of the January window. The 26-year-old started the 4-0 win over Motherwell on Thursday after recovering from illness.
The Athletic’s Larry Henry Jr, who covered Celtic’s US Tour for The Celtic Star, has updated his Twitter following to state that the Germans are interested in CCV.
Henry Jr is usually a very accurate source of information on Carter-Vickers with links close to player.
It is pleasing to see that CCV is focused on Celtic and you would imagine that his deal until 2029 reflects that he enjoys his life in Glasgow and playing at Celtic. As a player that was sent out on a number of loans by Spurs, CCV will appreciate finding a footballing home.
Since arriving from the Premier League side in 2021, Carter-Vickers has made 133 appearances for Celtic winning eight trophies in three and a half years. The US International has struck up a partnership with compatriot Auston Trusty and they’ll be looking to help Celtic towards UEFA Champions League progression next month with a win over Young Boys.
